Look for large beige storage container and parking lot with unusual obstacle lines on the ground. This parking lot is located north of the Life Center building. Enter the entrance across from Stockton Road and turn right into the parking lot.

Course Details:
During the course the student will discuss various topics including different types of risk, preparing to ride, protective gear, motorcycle controls, pre-ride inspection and basic riding skills. The student will also learn various street strategies, positioning, mental processing and other special riding situations. During the course a student will learn the “SEE” principle which will be helpful when identifying traffic controls / roadway features, highway users, surface conditions and escape paths.During the in-person riding the student will become familiar with the motorcycle and will start off learning straight-line riding, throttle control, turning and stopping. The student will gradually progress to maximum effective braking techniques, obstacle avoidance and maneuvers, cornering and cornering judgement, swerving and stopping quickly. Throughout the course the instructors will evaluate and coach each rider’s performance.
There is a knowledge test with the online classroom course and a riding skills test at the end of the range sessions. (MD requires a separate in-person knowledge test).
Motorcycles are available for use and are included in the course fee. Motorcycles used in the course are Can-Am Spyders or Rykers with various configurations.
Riders must have the appropriate riding gear, which includes a DOT certified helmet (PA requires helmet to be open-face / three-quarter or full-face helmet), eye protection, long sleeve shirt or jacket, full-fingered gloves, long pants (no ripped jeans, sweat pants or other soft material) and sturdy over-the-ankle footwear.
