The five (5) hours of classroom will help reinforce topics learned during the eCourse and will help students provide their own Rider Self-Assessment.  In addition, the student will discuss various topics including: situational awareness, risk reduction, traffic “traps”, driving tendencies, perception, visual acuity and reaction time.  During the course a student will learn the “SEE” principle which will be helpful when identifying traffic controls / roadway features, highway users, surface conditions and escape paths. During the ten (10) hours of riding the student will become familiar with the motorcycle and will start off learning the friction zone, straight-line riding, clutch-throttle control, turning, shifting and stopping.  The student will gradually progress to cornering, swerving and emergency braking with additional training on cornering judgment, swerving and stopping quickly.  Throughout the course the instructors will evaluate and coach each rider’s performance.
