This course is designed for someone that needs training on how to maintain and repair their motorcycle.  Approximately five (5) hours of classroom style training will focus on the fundamentals of performing basic motorcycle maintenance and inspections.  This course covers topics including a brief history of motorcycle engines, anatomy of a modern motorcycle, shop safety and tools necessary to perform motorcycle maintenance.  Topics also include steps necessary for a pre-ride safety inspection, maintenance schedules and record keeping.  During the course, students will gain a hands-on experience in performing an oil and filter change, checking fluid levels, checking wheels and tire pressure, brakes, suspension adjustment, cable adjustment, chain adjustment and lubrication, and the process to winterize and store a motorcycle.  Students should plan to bring their motorcycle owner’s manual to class.
